And no they are not violating federal law. Unless they are deputized as federal agents, they are not federal agents and do not act as such, immigration laws are federal laws.

They don't have to do the feds work for them.

Since New York and California create most of our GDP and pay most of the taxes, I'm guessing that's a fight the federal govt doesn't want to pick.

1. There are no criteria for what constitutes a "sanctuary city" in the first place.

2. The ones that conservatives love to hate like San Francisco.... get such a small percentage of their budget from the Feds.... they simply don't give crap about Trump's empty threats..... even if they some day stop being empty.
