When should I have my consultation for my tattoo?

I have a tattoo booked with Grace Neutral in London on the 28th, it has been confirmed and I have paid my deposit, but it's coming to 2 weeks before my tattoo and I still haven't been contacted by her (we previously exchanged emails where I described my idea).

This will be my first tattoo and I don't want to annoy her by asking for a design idea if that's not how it works, but because I don't live locally, I can't just pop in.

Should I email her again with what I want? Will she contact me? Will she draw it up when I'm there? Will I have to pay for that time if she does?

Please help, I'm so confused!

She probably won't contact you again, so if you have questions, go ahead and email her. She will most likely draw up your design idea when you get there. Most tattoo artists don't draw ahead of time unless it's a big project with someone they know pretty well.

Because you have already told her what you want, you may not be contacted by her again.

Personally, I would email her again and let her know that you would love to see the design before the actual appointment, but understand if that can't be done. You should also ask for an estimate of the overall cost, so that you are prepared and are able to have enough money at the time of tattooing.
