Christians and other religious people? How do you justify Hell?

I don't believe in Hell or eternal punishment, but if I did I would start worshipping Satan so that maybe my life in Hell will be easier. I would definitely not like to worship a God that I know might decide to punish me FOREVER if he doesn't like me.

You have failed to grasp what is going on.

When the world was designed and created, it was PERFECT. And then something bad happened. There was a rebellion. It started in heaven, and the rebellion spread to this earth. As a result of this rebellion, we now live under the curse of sin.

Evil really does exist, and we are under the domain of Satan. Satan is now the "god" of this world. And he wants to do everything he can to keep people in the dark. That's why they call him the great deceiver. But his days are numbered. Jesus is going to return and take back the earth.

Because of the curse, we now live in a bad and hostile world. The elements are hostile. The people (many of them) are hostile. Eventually, God is going to take the curse away. But for now, sin is allowed to run free. Not totally free, because God has placed some limitations on what demons can do, but there is still plenty of “bad things” to go around.

Satan has dominion over this earth. There is evil and corruption in high places. So you are already going to hell. We ALL are. That's the whole point. That's why we need to "get saved." Otherwise, our fate is already set. We are DOOMED to an eternity in hell.

Fortunately, someone has worked out a plan of redemption. He has paid the price in our place. The price was DEATH.

Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins. Not everyone's sins. He did not pay the price for those who choose to reject him.

God is not threatening you with hell. Hell is already your destination due to the rebellion that started in heaven and spread to this earth. God has worked out a plan to "steal you" out of Satan's hands. But you need to turn from your evil ways, and accept the redemption that has been provided.

Ultimately, everyone is either a child of God, or a child of Satan. There is no in between group.

The people in heaven will be people who understand evil leads to death. EVIL IS BAD. The people in heaven will be people who have AGREED with God that evil is bad. So there will be only good people in heaven who agree with God.

If you are evil, then we DO NOT WANT YOU IN HEAVEN. And neither does God. That's the whole point. Why do you think we are here? This is like the "testing ground." God is sorting out, if given a choice, who wants to be "good" and who wants to be "bad."

Why is that so hard to understand?

That's why God has given us "free will" to decide if we want to be good or bad.

Focus on God's will for your life here and now.

Heaven = God. Hell = No God.

Hellfire isn't a bible based teaching. Everything you think of when you imagine burning in hell was from Greek mythology that was incorporated into Christian dogma after the deaths of the original apostles. From hell being controlled by the devil to it being an eternally hot fire is all NOT a part of the teaching of the bible.

    1) Mankind was made from dust.

    Genesis 2:7

Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

    2) Adams punishment was to go back to the dust and simply die. No hellfire there.

    Genesis 3:19

    you return to the ground,

    Because from it you were taken;

    For you are dust,

And to dust you shall return.

At many other places in scripture this is commonly stated.

    Psalm 104:29-30

    You hide Your face, they are dismayed;

You take away their spirit, they expire

    And return to their dust.

30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created;...

    Job 34:14-15

If He should gather to Himself His spirit and His breath,

    15

    All flesh would perish together,

And man would return to dust.

    Psalm 146:3-4

    Do not trust in princes,

In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.

    4

    His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;

In that very day his thoughts perish.

    Ecclesiastes 3:19-20

For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same. As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no advantage for man over beast, for all is vanity. 20 All go to the same place. All came from the dust and all return to the dust.

There is no justification of hell. I'll tell you a secret, hell is exactly what you see it is. We should stop wasting time imaging it for individuals that want to experience it. So many images/movies for one to call up have been created by the planet's media. You should have no trouble finding it if your interested. If you are not interested in hell delete from you mind. Of course that is easier said than done. Careful, it is questiones like yours that actually generate its existence in mind.

Certainly, if God wanted to burn someone forever in a hell fire, it would be Adam and Eve who were perfect humans that disobeyed him. His comment to them found at Genesis 3:19 "For dust you are and to dust you will return." Never did he say they would burn in hell forever.

If a just God dealt with perfect humans in such a way, why would he deal unjustly with imperfect human who inherited sin from from Adam and Eve.

God is not unrighteous as to do something like that.

As a matter of fact he made a way out for all humans who would chose to be faithful and obedient to him to be forgiven of their sins and have a chance for everlasting life, by sending his perfect son to give his life in exchange for the perfect life Adam lost. Read Romans 5th chapter, also, John 3:16

Those who disobey God will die, they don't have to. 2 Peter 3:9 says: he does not desire any to die, but desire all to repent. He want all to live.

The decision is placed on the person as to which he will choose. God allows us to make the choice.

The Bible doesn t teach eternal punishment. Ecclesiastes 9:5 Tells us the condition of the dead. "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all...." We all go to the grave when we die. The grave is likened to a peaceful place, not a place of torment. Job 14:13-15

We are created as eternal beings spiritually with the right to determine where we want to live eternally, just like the angels were. However, we have been created lower than the angels in that we cannot see the spiritual realm and yet are still expected to follow our Creator. God has prepared a place for Him and those who love Him and everywhere else is Hell. Justice demands it. Satan and God are in this war and you choose which side you want. Better choose wisely.

Christians aren't obligated to justify hell but try to keep you from going there. If you think you can get anything good from Satan, you are highly mistaken. Satan is going to be thrown into the lake of fire and if you don't wise up you will join him. God, through Jesus, has given you the opportunity to avoid such an avoidable fate.

Just ask God to forgive you of your sins and accept Jesus into your life. God doesn't want you to suffer. That's why he sent Jesus to pay the penalty for your sins.

MILLIONS of persons have been taught by their religions that hell is a place where people are tormented. According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, “The Roman Catholic Church teaches that hell . . . will last forever; its suffering will have no end.” This Catholic teaching, the encyclopedia goes on to say, “is still held by many conservative Protestant groups.” Hindus, Buddhists and Muhammadans also teach that hell is a place of torment. No wonder that people who have been taught this often say that if hell is such a bad place they do not want to talk about it.

This raises the question: Did Almighty God create such a place of torment? Well, what was God’s view when the Israelites, following the example of peoples who lived nearby, began to burn their children in fire? He explains in his Word: “They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.”—Jeremiah 7:31.

Think about this. If the idea of roasting people in fire had never come into God’s heart, does it seem reasonable that he created a fiery hell for those who do not serve him? The Bible says, “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Would a loving God really torment people forever? Would you do so? Knowing of God’s love should move us to turn to his Word to find out just what hell is. Who go there, and for how long?

The history of such doctrines in religions, not just Christian, reveals that they are the inventions of the clergy of the respective religions as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" that the clerics could use to threaten any laity with being "sent to Hell". Later, especially the Catholics found a way to make more money off of that, by creating "Limbo" and "Purgatory" in which the clerics claimed sat the "not good enough" for heaven, and by buying indulgences, could "bribe" God to take them into heaven.

The thing about satanism is followers think they will reign in hell if they worship him. Nothing could be further from the truth.

God is love and gives plenty of instructions to do well in this life and gain eternal life, avoiding hell. But He does threaten hell for those who don't respond to the rewards of going with God. I think a loving God will allow everyone to have very strong hints about His reality and truth, and only those who blatantly ignore His truth will find themselves having to worry about hell. Basically, those who choose it for themselves. God will be able to show them many times when they had an open door to God's truth, and they walked right by it on purpose.

To not choose God is to give up extreme eternal treasure that's worth beyond billions, if dollars were an appropriate measure. It's bad enough to choose to lose all that. But to willfully choose eternal punishment in its place is beyond foolish. Sure, God's not visible and touchable and all, so it takes time to figure Him out. But there's hints and clues and real evidence all over the place, if we only choose to see it.
