Hi. I have the above car and have had this fault come up P2002 - diesel particulate filter ( bank 1 ) faulty operation
Can some please be honest and tell me how bad this is? It has really dis heartened me that it s going to be a huge job. The car has lost power. The glow plugs and engine light is on along with the dpf light.
Any hell would be great

Start by taking it for a blast on a Motorway. 60MPH or more for an hour.
If that does not fix it then go to a dealer and get a forced regeneration.
Any diesel with a DPF needs to be regenerated every so often. This is part of the joys of modern diesel ownership.
They need a good motorway blast every so often.
If you read the handbook it would tell you this.
