Can I join the military if my husband has HIV?

He was born with it, I don't have it.

When you are at your local MEPS for processing, you will have to submit a blood sample for an HIV test. They will not need to test your significant other. Be careful though, an HIV diagnosis is an automatic disqualifier for active duty service. You've done well not to catch it as of yet, continue being extremely careful.
