Why is "God" a HE? Shouldn't "God" be an IT?
If "God" were truly omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.... shouldn't "God" be an essence or form of energy, rather than a physical "HE" being?

Yes, "God" is rather an "it" than a "he." You only hear God referred to as male by the brainwashed Christian community who believes everything they read.

When it is appropriate to use pronouns I generally write for a single god, he/it/she. However, as no gods exist I do not believe it is worth getting in to too deep a discussion about the most appropriate pronoun.

God doesn't exist; as an imaginary being everyone is free to imagine whatever gender they wish.

You are, of course, correct.
But, most people don't scrutinize the plot or the logic of Christian bible. If they did they wouldn't be Christians.

He was invented during a time of complete male superiority, so females weren't even regarded a thing. Hence, god is referred to as he.

God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I don't see how you not say that at least 2 parts of the Holy Trinity are male.
Considering God an it indicates that one is focusing on the 3rd person of the Trinity to the exclusion of the first two. It's also a move that one is moving towards Gnosticism. Gnosticism is a moving away from the material in the world and toward only spiritual. Christianity (original Christianity) is the marriage of the spiritual with the material.

God is genderless, but it's hard to have a relationship with an it. God is referred to in the masculine because of patriarchy.

God is a personal, loving God according to the bible. It was for love that he sent his Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us.
1st John 4:7,8 says that God is love. It is the very nature of God. Your idea of what God is comes from "New Age" thinking, not the Bible.

Honestly I don't see how you rationally came up with that unless you haven't read the Bible where it shows that God does have a personality. You are not taking into account God's other attributes. Love, for one. An inanimate object or entity cannot show love.
