King James stopped the fighting of the Catholic Church trying to keep people from reading the bible. He established the church of England and got rid of the Catholics.
Allowed the bible to be written in English so they common person could read it.
So he started out a good guy. But then killed anyone who did not believe the way he told them to. So it became as bad as the Catholic church. Why people got on ships to come to America thinking it was inhabited by savages. They wanted freedom of religion why our forefathers made the very first Amendment "freedom of religion"
