Putting amphibians on the Arc was not necessary. They could survive on their own, and did.
Just as fish could survive without being on the Arc.

As I understand it, all the land creatures were put onto the ark, but those that could swim didn't need to get on the ark. That's why we still have huge creatures in the sea (even what some would consider dinosaurs) - they didn't need to be saved from a flood. And we know Crocodiles and Gators can swim, even in the ocean, for they come out to the ocean in Florida.

To eat the invasive species of fish, and protect the underwater environment. Crocodiles and "Gators" weren't dangerous to mankind until after the flood. Genesis 9:2

They came to Noah, not the other way around. Noah wanted to obey God so let all the animals on board.

They weren't crocodiles, but Reptile Kind. I'm assuming they weren't clean animals, so it was probably a single breeding pair. After the voyage, they adaptationated into everything from snakes to crocs to turtles over less than a thousand years, in a process that was NOT evilution. Because reasons.
