Are all motherboards with LGA1156 sockets micro-ATX?

I have a tower with a 2.93 quad core, and I was upgrading stuff but it needs a bigger power supply but the present motherboard doesn't support my 400w power supply and the power supply adapter for the micro-ATX fitting didn't work. So I was thinking of swapping motherboards, but it looks like they all require the same type of power supply that mine does... Any info for me?

Uhm... you mean 2.93 GHz quad core?

Power supplies have been using the same 20 and 24 pin plugs for a long time... Or do you mean the CPU power plug with 4 and 8 pins? Both of those plugs can be backwards compatible as long as you're sure you're not overloading the power supply.

Newegg and PC Part Picker are good websites for shopping for motherboards with specific features.

Since you're not smart enough to use the internet (that you're clear using now to post this question) to look up LGA 1156 motherboard, then I suggest you forget about computers at together and go play with something that doesn't require much brain activity
