In Rambo 2, he was told "Not to engage the enemy under any circumstance" yet he was given a SMG, a bow and exploding arrowheads, thoughts?
I mean he didn't own that Sub Machine Gun or that bow and arrows, he didn't have those things in the first movie.

He might need them for self defence. He's been ordered not to initiate any combat, not to surrender if anyone sees him.
