What does the phrase "well-planted stance" in "Expressing a well-planted stance" mean?

How do you interpret the phrase? Please give detailed explanation, if possible.

Update:

Update: I also think that the writer is not a native speaker of British English, so I ask all of you guys here to interpret it. Anyway, I think I get your point. Thank you for everyone who have answered me. Have a nice day :)

It means that the writer is not a native speaker of British English. You might see: "He planted his feet in a firm stance", but not the phrase you quote. That means that he stood with his feet possibly slightly apart, looking as though he knew what to do, and determined to offer resistance to anybody who might challenge him.

It means standing in a manner that makes you difficult to move, so with your legs slightly more than shoulder width apart and slightly staggered with your knees bent to lower your center of gravity.
