How to find the name of an object based on item number?

Ok so I broke my step dads lamp on accident and I m trying to find a replacement but nothing comes up when I try to search for it so all I have is an item number and a bar code how can I use those to find the name of an object

Try entering the item number and the word "lamp" into your favorite search engine. I've had pretty good luck entering part numbers into Google and getting them identified to manufacturer and suppliers. Bar-code searches may be a reach, since some sellers apply their own bar-codes for local inventory purposes.

That depends on where the lamp was originally purchased.

I would suggest that you tell your step-dad that you are trying to find the proper replacement because you accidentally broke the lamp, and that you are very sorry, and that you are having trouble finding an exact replacement for the lamp.

Your step-dad should be able to tell you the next step.

    Good luck.
