Foster Care Name Change?

Well I'm recently a foster parent to a relative but the grandmother wants to take over. Is there a way we can ask the social worker to switch names and have my name off there and change to the grandmothers name(the grandmother is my mom and lives in the current household" I do have other foster kids but she just wants this baby in her care. Any questions will help before I ask the worker the steps. Thanks.

You have to speak to the caseworker. You are required by DFCS to care for the kids in your care, you cannot pick and choose who will care for the foster children. That's why you need to speak to the caseworker. The child was removed from mother's care for a reason, and placed into a licensed home for safe care.

Grandma has to file for the kinship custody of the baby.

You AND the GM should speak with the worker.
