Have you felt the love of the Goddess? Many have... you can't assume all Goddess-worshipers are liars or delusional. There are entire books written by people, testimonies on websites and youtube.

I guess you are going to not be a hypocrite now, and you will look into the Goddess, won't you?

The biggest problem I see is that the feeling you describe is not specific to any religion. The religions you consider false, man made or just pure cults have the exact same feelings inspired in their followers. Is a mormons feeling of gods love enough to convince you their religion is correct?

I've experienced what I thought at the time was the love of God. Later I realized that an overwhelming emotion isn't supernatural. I've had the same overwhelming emotion after realizing gods were imaginary. I think your close friend, and other people who think it is "the love of God" are mistaken.

I feel wonderful all the time. You will not meet a happier person than me and I am an proud atheist. For religious fanatics the world is not enough for them and they will never know the love and contentment I have.
