Is there a name for the way that Family Guy has its episodes plotted out? Where there's one plot that leads into the main (advertised) story?

Update:

clarifying for Wat Dahell - I'm not referring to two-part stories, but rather to something like this hypothetical story basis: Peter goes on a fishing trip, which leads to him being stranded on a desert island.

In this hypothetical episode, the fishing trip would take up enough of the run-time that it could be its own quarter-hour story (with commercials), but the desert island plot would be what's advertised in promos and in the schedule

A twist, in Family guy usually 1, or all characters get exactly what they wished-for, it's rarely a good win though.
