Charging a Nextbook tablet/laptop?
I have a Nextbook that is about three years old. It no longer charges with the original cord. My husband has tried other cords with the headphone jack style and our universal chargers. Is it hopeless? I hope not with what I have on it, including photos. What can I do? Thank you.

At my house we have cords where we can just plug them into our tablets and stuff etc... my husbands uncle once had a similar problem where he couldn't get the plug to work for him. It was actually a really funny story how he ended up to getting it to work.

It's very easy to go on Amazon and order a new battery, plus the power cord that goes with it. The cost is quite reasonable. You get to keep your computer. Next time, don't keep the power cord connected to the computer all the time. Let the battery run down before you plug in again.

look up the specs to find out what voltage and polarity it requires, then make sure to use exactly that.
btw, those batteries do not last forever ...

ETA: I would be content with it being plugged in (with an extension cord) while I use it. I use my phone when Im out, anyway. Thank you.

When you tried all the random chargers - did you make sure they were producing sufficient voltage and current, at the appropriate polarity?
