If there is an afterlife, and the rules apply similar to the physical world, then good works pay with happiness and evil does not?

Update:

In spiritual beliefs, karma or cause and effect are the rule that the Creator set for all, as a fair ground to live. Evil follows evil, punishing each other, and good follows good, giving freedom and peace. Isn't this a Christian spiritist belief?

    Start praying that

you get to go to heaven,

and if you don't kill and steal

God will grant you these things

of heaven and an after life.

Jesus will be with you into

    the end of time.

'Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?' (Luke 16:11).

That verse is written on the chest of the Bouncer who stands in front of the Pearly Gates.

Your theory might hold water if there was only one system. There are two. Jesus speaks of an irreversibly good system within which even attempted evil, works to the benefit of all those within it, (elucidated further by New Testament writers, Romans 8:28), and an irretrievably evil system within which all good is corrupted back into evil, with the greatest good serving evil the most and being used as its primary mask, (2 Corinthians 11:14).

At least from the Christian perspective, you are either irreversibly good or irretrievably evil, and even more evil when you try to do good while being the latter.

The only difference between life and the 'afterlife' is the absence of choice, since life is how we make and express the choice between which system we are choosing----forever.

According to Aristotle, that's even true if there is no afterlife. Because acting contrary to virtue leads to regrets later in life.
