Do I have an ear infection or just excessive wax?

I've been having wax build up in my ears, but until last week they got worse to the point I could barely hear in my right ear. So I started putting peroxide in this that Friday. Now I had started working on the left ear on Saturday. I used my parents ear syringe squeezy tool to try to clean that one out, but I guess I blew the wax farther in and now I can barely hear in that one. Today I used some Debrox before work/school tomorrow. And now all I hear is buzzing in both clogged ears with a slight pain from pressure. Is it an Ear Infection or just excessive wax that's been building. And if it's excessive wax how long do I keep using peroxide. Because the Debrox says to only use no more than 4 days. It's my first day using it. Much help appreciated 😅!

It sounds like a blockage. Do not (this is very important) attempt to dig the wax out yourself; you will only make the problem worse. Use cotton swabs only on the outside of the ears, not in the ear canal. You can use over the counter ear drops to help soften the wax for now. Use them as directed.

If that does not work, or if you shows signs of infection (severe pain in the ear; pain that does not subside; drainage from the ear; fever; coughing; persistent hearing loss; an odour from the ear; dizziness), see your doctor in order to rule out other conditions and to assist with earwax removal. Follow his aftercare instructions carefully.

Time to see your doctor. Wax blockage will eventually turn into an ear infection, which it sounds like you're getting. They will clear your ears and give you an antibiotic.

Don't drag your feet on this. Next step is vertigo. No fun.

Pour in peroxide, let it fizz 30 seconds at least, drain and then repeat a couple of times. Then rinse iwth plain water.
