According to true history. were Islamic wars defensive or invasive?

    Both. We're talking about a time span of some 1300 years. And for the sake of accuracy, Ottoman wars of aggression were about as religious as Catholic wars of aggression. Religion is a time honored pretext for war, when the real reasons are about territory and revenue.

    Invasive. They invaded everybody around them without provocation which is why they spread so fast. Only a few early wars were defensive and they were usually an Arabian Pagan response to the Muslims attacking their caravans. Once Muhammad had a decent number of followers, everything was offensive and the people who led the Muslim community afterwards continued this tradition. Within 200 years, they had conquered most of the Middle East, Persia, India, North Africa and 75% of Spain.
