What do you think of the Trump Administration's anti-tobacco campaign?

Back in July, Trump's new FDA chief announced a major new regulatory push against tobacco (his speech on it is here -- https://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Speeches/ucm569024.... with "a new and comprehensive approach to the regulation of nicotine," and now Trump is requiring the tobacco industry to fund a new round of anti-tobacco ads to be far more negative towards tobacco than previous ads. Trump, it may be remembered, has always been personally strictly anti-smoking in his personal life and with his family and employees.

Trump opponents were probably expecting him to be soft on tobacco -- but is it really surprising that he's taking the hard line against it? And oughtn't liberals to applaud this, since they so favor regulation?

I'm actually for keeping cigarettes and other tobacco and nicotine products legal. It's a matter of personal choice. As long as you don't smoke or use it in anyway that will negatively affect others, than you should be allowed to use it.
