The holy spirit vs the holy spirits (plural). (Hebrews 1:14)?

For those who read the Scriptures, there are numerous passages explaining that the angels of Heaven are the holy ministering spirits, come to guide mankind. Further, Jacob's vision of a ladder with fallen spirits rising upward and holy angels coming down to help them, provide the reason why Paul said "...all will be saved.."(1st Timothy 2:4)

There are as many Bibles translated as holy spirits as there are holy spirit. Why would preachers be more interested in bad translations, except that they need to remain in control and not the holy spirits speaking through Christians in church, or the preacher would be out of a job.

It seems that you are confused.

There are many spirits mentioned in the Bible

many of them in service to God

    BUT

the Bible also refers specifically to "the Holy Spirit"

(one particular special holy spirit, using the term "holy spirit" as a title)

in addition to referring to a multitude of other "spirits of God"

Note (for example: that Heb 1:14 does NOT refer to

    - the Holy Spirit

    but rather to

    - "ministering spirits" or "serving spirits" or some variation

    - - - no definite article

    - - - no "holy" in any modern, scholarly translation that I saw

    SO:

    - there are in fact many spirits that serve God

    - - - sometimes even called "spirits of God" in the Bible, for example:

    - but there is only ONE that the Bible identifies using the title "the Holy Spirit"

Ministering spirits are angels. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who came to live among Christians after the ascension of Christ. Ministering spirits-angels. Holy Spirit-not an angel.

    None of them are real.

  • The holy spirits (plural) is found in many Bible translations where in other Bibles it says holy spirit (singular).

There is no evidence that there is only one single 'holy spirit' which only refers to as the whole, such as we say

"the doctor", " the artist", which does not mean there is only one of each kind. Where Christ said He would send

the holy spirit in some translations, other translations say Christ promised to send "the holy spirits" or the holy

spirit world, meaning the same angels who descended upon the "son of man" (Himself) when He was on earth.

There are many "spirits" mentioned in the bible but there is only one HOLY SPIRIT.

There is only one Holy Spirit.

Yes. There are spirits that are holy and there is God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is called the Son of God because The Holy Spirit came upon Mary.

The above person is right. There's BOTH, God the Holy Spirit and many holy spirits.
