Pros and Cons of doing Vehicle Repair side jobs?

There's always the matter of liability if something goes wrong.

I think that there are both pros AND cons to doing this, but I am going to leave you to discover them on your own.

One piece of advice: Don't use any shortcuts! Repair everything properly.

I find it to be great and help many people out while making a little money on the side. I'm a retired Master Mechanic.

You obviously are not a qualified mechanic or you wouldn't be asking a question like this! People with little experience are just asking for trouble when they think they can work on cars!

No idea how you would be able to define such a thing as good or bad - seems a very childish question to me.

If you can't afford motor trader's insurance you could ask them to sign a disclaimer or at least a note of satisfaction when you complete jobs.

You can make money. The customer can save money. All by avoiding the tremendous overhead of legit garages. The cons are there. You and each customer have to decide if they are worth it.

Hi so what happens when something goes dreatically wrong and some one is killed as a result of your dabbling unless you have ai insurance policy against such issues.

Depends on how good you are.
