On the campaign trail, Trump said that he would like to leave marijuana legalization to the states. Just another lie in a long list.

Trump had a plan to provide “insurance for everybody” that was “much less expensive and much better". “There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.” lie

Put more coal minors to work. fail

"I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.” lie

Use US steel in pipeline. lie

“I’m not going to cut Social Security like every other Republican and I’m not going to cut Medicare or Medicaid.” lie (he supported Trumpcare, and the tax bill to cut Medicare and Medicaid.)

"Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products." No attempt.

    ....

The United States has about 5 percent of the world's population, but we have 25 percent of the world's prisoners - we incarcerate a greater percentage of our population than any country on Earth.

An unflinching blow to states' rights, and support of the federal government overstepping its power. Not hypocritical at all, conservatives.

I don't really care about pot either way. I have no idea why Republicans never hold one another accountable, though.

I think it a step backwards, and something that is going to backfire on them at the polls later this year.

Misguided, at best; destructive, at worst. What happened to states rights and popular opinion?

He does not have any campaign. Obama did however and authorized raids in several states against marijuana dispensaries.

I think it's a perfectly reasonable stance for the President to instruct federal agencies to enforce existing laws.

That being said, since it's obvious that the laws need to be changed, Congress should probably get on top of that.

I think he should stay out of it. Anyone with a brain knows that marijuana is less harmful than alcohol. If they are going to start busting people for smoking/growing weed, the prisons will be overcrowded and guess who pays for that? Taxpayers, you and me.
