What do these symptoms relate too?
Hello, i’m a 49 year old man. I’ve been a type 2 diabetic for a while and I haven’t been taking my medication due to getting pains all over my body in recent years. I have been a smoker since I was 13 up until now. In July of last year, I got a cold and felt like I haven’t recovered since. I cough a lot, everyday like it’s a dry cough. I’m scared and I’m trying to quit smoking but this cough won’t go away. My kids recently told me, my face looks swollen or bigger than it usually is. I read some stuff online and they say it could be lung cancer. I been smoking a lot these past months because my cough gets bad so I have to smoke to ease it. What do you think it may be? What should i do? I’m scared to get diagnosed :(

The swollen face could be from kidney disease. Time to get a full physical. I doubt your cough is from lung cancer.

Intersting....I would get yourself to a pulmonologist and investigate that cough.
"Increasing your smoking to "ease it" is not the way to go. Do yourself a favor and get diagnosed. The sooner the better.

A cough is also a sign of heart problems. If you are not keeping your blood sugar down,
you will end up with bad circulation, nerve pain, eye problems (retina), and kidney disease.
There's no maybe about this.

Being scared of going to a doctor to be checked out could result in a cancer diagnosis when it is too late to do anything. The sooner it is found, the better the results will be.
Go to a doctor NOW. The longer you wait, the worse it will be. Really.
It may not be cancer. If it is not, then you will have spent months or years with anxiety and worry for no reason.

to be honest i think it could be possible for it to be lung cancer, maybe you should go to the er and get all this checked out or you could have bronchitis or pneumonia and might need meds for it
