I got water on the bottom of my electrical kettle, will i be electrocuted?
I wasn t thinking properly and I washed my kettle in the sink as I would wash a water pitcher or a cup. I dried off the bottom and i m thinking to use it now. Will anything bad happen? I remember doing the same thing a while back and nothing happened.

It's fine. Wouldn't it be silly if a vessel designed for heating water was a serious electrocution risk if it got wet?

I assume that we are talking about an electric kettle with a cord, right? Because otherwise I can't even imagine what you are worrying about. The the corded section where the heating element is located is part of the kettle, then it must be designed to prevent water from coming in, because only an idiot would think water would NOT get in when filling the kettle. If it has a separate base, the base might not be immersible but it will usually be safe in case of spillage.
This isn't the 1950s and there are consumer laws that would prevent the sale of a kettle that would become hazardous if you got it wet. It would have to be a really old electric kettle to make me worry at all.

Some people should never be allowed near electrical goods or the kitchen for that matter.Sit it aside for the rest of the day to let it dry out.
