Is my mom a narcissist?
This is just one story out of the many I can tell but it's something that demonstrates how she is with me all the time. I'm 22 years old. This just happened a few mins ago. She just comes out of the blue telling me how I need to lose weight by the summer and get myself a man and that I'll need to look good to get a man... I'm not even looking. Then I just answer with a simple "yeah"... Then she says " Oh I love the way you answered that "...then I said " What? You wanted me to argue or something? " to which I kind of laughed afterwards. Then she said "you know...you're a dick"... It's like what even happened. She stood there insulting me then calls me a dick because I said " Yeah' in a tone that wasn't happy.

Narcissist... No, if she was she really wouldn't care what you did she'd be focused on herself to the one thousandth power.

Move out and then she won't irritate you as much. This sounds so much like a conversation between a 16 year old and her mother. Yes, she shouldn't be telling you to lose weight and find a man, but she thinks she's helping you. You, meanwhile, are acting like a child by being pouty and not saying anything but "yeah". Try talking to her like an adult. What are your goals for the next year and what are you doing to work toward them?
Narcissists, by the way, talk only about themselves. A narcissist wouldn't bother giving you advice to make your life better.
