Can armpit still hurt due to infection?

In December I went to the dermatologist for boils under my arms and on my side. She gave my antibiotics for a type of fungal infection she believed it to be. The boils are all gone, but I have an itch and sore armpit on my right. There's no lump or anything nor rash.

    Go back to see her again. The boil/infection could be internal.
