Apparently Kathie Lee doesn't know what the definition of "religious" is. To be religious means to believe in a god, savior, or other supernatural supreme being. If she's a "follower of christ", that means she believes he exists, and if she's a believer in scripture then she believes the ludicrous fairy tales of scripture, and is therefore very much religious.

Organized religion makes a fool of the wisest of us. Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, etc. All their philosophies are similar and can easily be agreed upon by the majority of the world, and yet, 1/3 of those is obsessed with converting the world to their particular philosophy. That's literally the reason the church exists, at least on paper. In reality, they want as much power as possible, and for a while, it looked like they'd get it.

Then we turned to science and rationality instead. I honestly couldn't give less of a flying f*ck what you people believe. Most atheists i've seen/met seem to share this sentiment. As long as your silly beliefs don't f*ck over everyone else, it's not an issue. Personally, I find the very core of 'spirituality' to be complete nonsense, given that 'souls' don't exist. Christianity's future is likely the same as every other religion that came before it. Eventually, it'll be replaced with something else.

But you are correct that there are a lot of false churches out there that obscure and denigrate the life of Christ. However, Christ's true church exists and has always existed and does take some effort at times to find it. Only by knowing the scriptures is one able to match them to it and thus identify it.
