Should I get a new kitten or wait until we dont have any cats?
I have a 17 year old cat at home. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old. My family and I recently found a 13 week old kitten at a rescue, her name is Jasmine, she is really affectionate and she's an amazing cat. We relly want to adopt her but are unsure if it will affect our other cat, we dont want to make her stressed, please help.
PS: Our 17 year old cat is half deaf and half blind too.

This depends on the older cat.
Some love kittens and really want to be with them. Others outright hate the kitten, and it will give them an early death.
Personally, I would wait to get the kitten.

Depends on the cats. My mom got an 8 week old kitten about a year ago. At the time she also had a 15 year old cat. That kitten really bothered him. The kitten would harass him to try to get him to play. She ended up getting a second kitten for him to play with and that worked great. They played with each other and left the 15 year old cat alone.

If it were me, I would probably wait til the older cat passes as I would not want to stress it out during the last weeks/months of it’s life. Cats are very territorial and the older cat will probably not appreciate having a new cat in the house. I would also not want to deprive the old, beloved cat of the attention and affection of family members who would obviously want to play with and pet the new kitten.
HOWEVER, only you can make this decision. If the house is very large and the older cat not fully aware of her surroundings, you could potentially make this work. If it is possible to bring the kitten home for a couple days over the weekend to see how things would work out you could try that.

You should wait.

Bringing a kitten into the home of a 17 year old cat is almost guaranteed to stress the old cat.

Female cats can become pregnant with a new litter even while they are still nursing, so don't forget to get the mother cat spayed or you will have more kittens soon! ... If you discover that mom has been hit by a car, or if for any reason it appears that she is not coming back, then you should remove the kittens.

A kitten would be EXTREMELY irritation to the old cat. Why did you even go looking at kittens at a rescue? You're HORRIBLE pet owners. Why is this cat "half deaf and half blind"? Denied vet care for years and years? I have a TWENTY ONE year old cat who's still perfectly healthy.
