What does this dream mean?
It was night time and I was out in a sailing boat and this woman brought me and who was meant to be my brother (but wasn’t actually my real brother) to her house and I said “there’s something weird about this” and then she locked us in her house and held us hostage . I felt genuine fear . There was other people there too, whom I don’t know. Somehow I managed to escape and my dog suddenly appeared too? But him and myself were my main priority rather than the other humans in the house. So me and my dog escaped and I remember holding on to him for dear life and climbing up this wall escaping. This was all taking place during night time and by a pier .

Look into your real Life and ask and answer what is "really weird" which is going on? Your dream is connected to that. Twice you mentioned the fact that is was at night, so that could be important, and also your love and trust for your dog could symbolize your love and trust for a companion in your real Life. Think about what I have pointed out for awhile and the meaning may come through to you.

Maybe your dream is trying to tell you that there is someone you need to protect and you also need to protect yourself at the same time. You may not know what it is now but you may know at the time.
