Why does Russia think Jehovah s Witnesses are terrorists when everyone knows they are peaceful, anti-war, and neutral in politics?

In Russia in at least seven cities, police raided Jehovah's Witnesses. The OMON officers, sometimes wearing masks and automatic weapons, broke into the houses of the Witnesses and, threatening with weapons, detained and interrogated both young and old people. All this is like a planned action.
Over the past year, at least 10 criminal cases have been initiated against the Witnesses. Five people are being detained, including Dennis Christensen, who has been under arrest since May 25, 2017. In addition, in Kabardino-Balkaria, another of our brothers, 69-year-old Arkady Hakobyan, is being tried. The brothers face from two to ten years in prison only because they prayed and read the Bible together with their co-religionists.
On April 20, 2017, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation liquidated the Administrative Center and all 395 local religious organizations of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia. When this case was heard in court, the authorities claimed that it was only the liquidation of legal entities, and not about prohibiting Jehovah's Witnesses from freely professing their faith. However, the actions of the authorities indicate the opposite.
Eliminating the legal entities of Jehovah's Witnesses and proceeding to seize property, the Russian authorities began to persecute ordinary believers. Now, more than 175,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia can be outlawed for their faith.

Putin's bans are simply politically based.
He is trying to restore Russia to the glory days of the USSR and part of that is to limit the external influence of outside countries.
Putin is not only targeting the Jehovah's Witness religion , he is going after others as well , not to forget businesses and aid agencies.

A person can battle the errors of Russia by working for the consecration of that nation to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary.

Jehovah's Witnesses are just as evil as other Christians. For one, they refuse life saving blood transfusions because they're idiots. They also have the practice of shunning like the Amish. JWs are crazier than mainstream Christians.

#1 - I recommend that you read the Russian charges more carefully than you have done
#2 - the reason that the organization (not the individual Witnesses) has been shut down in Russia is primarily because of the organizations anti-nationalistic rhetoric (which, I point out, has got them in trouble in several other nations during their history, including the U.S.)

JWs refuse to vote, take blood transfusions, serve in the military (even in non-combat roles), or judge anyone as "guilty" in a court trial.
JWs are also sort of anti-government in their views of prophesy.
JWs increase the cross-pollinization of ideas along these lines.
Otherwise, JWs are like average "citizen diplomats", who might, as you say, have a peaceful effect between nations.
JW literature says that:
Taking undue pride in tribe, culture, or nation puts us at odds with God’s view of human rule and the human family.
In God’s sight, all people are equal.
(Rom. 10:12).
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
How can we tell if undue pride is taking root in us? Suppose a brother or sister from another land offered you a suggestion.
Would you reject it, immediately thinking, ‘We do things better around here’? Instead, we should all apply the inspired counsel: “With humility consider others superior to you.”—Phil. 2:3.

They don't trust them because they're heretics -- denying the Trinity.
@ I <3 U -- Are you blind? The three Persons of the Trinity ARE in the Bible. The term wasn't invented till later. So what.

The one's in the U. S. didn't campaign or support Trump so now Putin's making them pay.

They also count the Salvation Army as a paramilitary organisation. But I don't agree that everyone knows JWs are peaceful or neutral in politics. Some are but lots only claim to be. Passive aggressive isn't peaceful and trying to get child abuse laws overturned like they tried in England isn't neutral in politics.

Probably because Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to join in mindless displays of patriotism.
