Is it normal to become nauseous and have shoulder aches eating sugar with alcohol?
Whenever I mix alcohol with sugary drinks or eat sugary things, I get nauseous, dizzy, and have shoulder aches. I don't get this when I drink hard liquor with little to no sugar, though. Is this normal?

Yes. Shoulder pain after drinking alcohol can be related to an electrolyte imbalance. It is more common than you might think - I get this particularly after drinking rum, which is pretty much liquid sugar.
