How to make longer distance between us work?
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 months and we love each other. This is a very special relationship and I have never felt this way about anyone. She is a year older than me and going off to college next year while I’m going to be a senior in high school. She is only gonna be 30 minutes away but we are used to seeing each other practically everyday and will now only get to see each other on some weekends and special events. How to make this work until I go to college with her next year?

Its not going to work, bud. Hate to break it you, but she is most likely going to meet other people while living on campus and she will eventually end things with you. There is no making it work. She is about to enter a different stage in her life and she will be meeting and spending time with a whole host of new people every day. She will get involved in activities and clubs and organizations. She will have long classes and a lot of homework. She just won't have time for you anymore.
In all honesty, you are better ending things now. Most couples in your situation do not last past Thanksgiving. Its better off to end things on good terms instead of ending things while being mad at each other because you drift apart.
You should not be choosing a college just because she goes there. Choose one that's right for you and your chosen field of study. You are a high school senior. You have all the time in the world to date. Not to mention, 3 months is NOT enough to build an entire future around with such a significant decision as to where you continue your education.
Just end things at the end of summer and move on. It'll hurt. But really, high school relationships rarely last. A friend of mine from high school married her high school boyfriend, but it was over 12 years later after they had both dated other people and gotten back together again. If they had married right out of high school, they probably would have been divorced by now.

30 minutes?
my children travelled further to school than that at 12 years old
30 minutes isnt a distance, you could still see each other regularly
but once she starts college, she will get caught up in college life, new people, new experiences, bigger work load, socialising, she will need space to enjoy college life as well, 30 minutes wont make any difference

Realize it might not work. Most HS relationships disolve once at college. Sorry but tire.
It will either work or it won’t.
She is going to have a lot of work at school. Don’t be surprised if she can’t take the time to see every weekend. Or talk everyday.
Technology allows you to chat and face time. Do what you can to stay in touch

You guys only live 30 min away from one another I’d try and visit every other weekend or maybe just FaceTime/Skype to make things easier. Dude, I was in a long distance relationship to where the only way to see her was a 8 hour plane ride. This is nothing lol
Mine please?/question/index?qid=20180...
