Yes, we've noticed that. The ironic thing is that those religious people you're referring to typically don't realize that they're stabbing themselves in the foot.

Yes I have. My answer must have been reported for bogus reasons as it is gone, after hours of researching the Scriptures to one such question concerning whether or not Peter "forgot." Peter forgot nothing; as we know in the Bible, however no matter how many try to refute this belief that he did, we are told again and again we are wrong, furthermore for standing firm, that we are the Anti-Christ. This is a prime example of how people claim some teaching to be good, while anything that refutes it is evil.

Here is the question and my answer. What did Peter "FORGET"in Acts 11:15-16?etc... (Asked two days ago, but maybe will register as being 3 days, or more depending upon when you see this answer which should be shown at least to someone who might care.)

Peter in Acts 2 is explaining to those listening; how the Holy Spirit fell upon 3000, Day of Pentecost. Acts 2:38 tells all present to repent, to be baptized, AND receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." promising the Holy Ghost then and there. His Apostolic preaching (Acts 2:22 teaches Jesus Christ as a historic person. In Acts 2:23-24 Jesus crucified and risen;. All of this was prophesied Jesus is God's Messiah in Acts 2: 36. *****Finally, all who turn and believe will be forgiven and given the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37-38)

A promise for all : (Acts 2:39) The invitation to respond to the Gospel remains unlimited, we are to share it with all. The invitation still stands.

Peter was first off BADE by the Holy Spirit to go to Cornelius house...with six Jewish brethern; who also received the baptism by Spirit;

Now NOTICE THE WORDING by Cornelius... " Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved." (the angel God sent to Cornelius said Peter would tell thee words, wherby thou and all the house shall be saved!!). The most beautiful thing happened here. God through the angel .... revealed to Cornelius to TRUST in the Words that Peter would use.

Peter marveled at how the Holy Ghost (*****Spirit fell on them, as on us at the beginning***)))15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. These people received that Spiritual Baptism instantly.

Remembrance verses;

Initially Peter had much trouble with the Jewish converts when it came to Gentiles being new converts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The problems that existed for Peter were many, as the Jewish brethren expected the Gentile converts to accept all the obligations laid out by the O.T. Law. The idea that a Gentile could have a direct relationship to God, without in fact first becoming a Jew, was not only foreign in 1st century Judaism but was also repugnant. This is why the direct conversion of Cornelius to Christianity was such a shock and stimulated criticism of Peter in the Jerusalem church, which was and which saw itself as JEWISH.

See Acts 10:9-23). In the 1-st century Judaism Gentiles were considered 'unclean'. Thus a pious Jew could not enter a Gentile house or eat with Gentiles without defiling himself and becoming ceremonially "unclean"... Hence the Vision God granted to Peter taught him that God was about to declare 'clean' a whole new class of people.

Praise God for the unexpected... I think Peter himself, was astounded in that moment; quickened by the Holy Spirit as well... he didn't forget G.N. He received instantly the Complete Picture what all the Vision was about seeing the Holy Spirit fell on Cornelius and all his household.

Afterall the Holy Spirit had been directing Peter all through this event. The Holy Spirit clarified in Peter; how Great a Salvation this is; Gentiles were grafted in; keep in mind the Jewish brethren needed further instruction, regeneration as well as the Gentiles. In any moment of Remembrance in and by and through the Powers of the Holy Spirit there is an increase of all the Spiritual Gifting... Peter came doubting nothing...

12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (The Holy Spirit was promised by Jesus Christ... as another Comforter!)

The entire surroundings were anointed by God through the Holy Spirit... how could Peter be in a state of forgetfulness; when the Spirit bade him to go there, waiting for him, and he went doubting nothing?

All that happened that day was so all could Know The Glory of God; as all there; received such an incredible Gift of Revelation concerning God's plans... and this remembrance is of such significance to us This Day too; as this is the Day the Gentiles were Grafted in, and none could stop or prevent God's Will being done in or upon our earth... as it came from Heaven from the very heart of God! All the Glory belongs to God, Praising His Holy name.

Peter didn't forget... the Holy Spirit was actively involved that day with all of those present with Peter!!

Anyone who says what the Bible says is only offering their opinion. No one but the other knows the real intent.

Yes. I had to be smart enough and well-studied enough to figure out what I could. That is what happens when there is a lot of interest in something, like the Bible. It takes time, but I had to try.

Another reason why people are confused is because they are not studying the Bible, and they don't take it seriously. That being said, I had a good time reading the Bible, especially reading through Kings and Chronicles.
