What do you think will happen with the rubbish crisis in corfu next year?

so corfu ran out of landfill a few years back. eu gave millions for them to build waste treatment and they spent it elsewhere. they then illegally built a new landfill causing riots.

we went in October and rubbish was piled everywhere. What do you think the government will do next year to cure the situation before the season or do you think they will do nothing?

Corfu is a major tourist destination. The Greek government will have to ship the waste to the mainland until a treatment plant is built.

Why don't they dig a hole and bury it?

I think in Europe the government really needs to tackle all this waste we have. They need to do something asap not in 2050 or whatever their goal is. We can reduce the amount of cr-ap we buy and waste less food.

can't they pay to send a ship and dump it elsewhere in the Med?

the Sargaso sea is a good place to dump, stuff stays there
