I put bleach on a wooden drawer please help?
I was told to disinfect the inside of this drawer and the only thing I saw around to disinfect with was Clorox bleach spray so I sprayed a bit on it and wiped it, opened the windows and all that, but then read that you’re not supposed to use it on wood or other porous surfaces and I’m worried that this ruined the wood and its unsafe to use now.. am I just panicking for no reason or is it true that it’s unsafe now??

It can ruin the finish of exposed wood surfaces. On the inside you most likely did no harm.

once it dries, bleach becomes inert and you could safely eat the drawer and be fine.

If you have wiped it off it will be ok. Bleach is unstable which means it loses it's effect quite quickly.

I have doubts about someone asking you to "disinfect" a drawer. Clean a drawer...yeah, wipe a drawer out...sure but disinfect...nope. go tell your mom you're an idiot and ask her what to do now.
