Update: Chi Girl, there are several Talmudic sources that mention how wine was diluted with water. Winemaking was a method of sterilizing water. They would add as much water as possible to make the drink go further.

You know all this fasting in the desert thing? Turns out that the delirium that accompanies dehydration, hunger and lack of sleep will entice some kind of 'mystical experience' (which signals that your judgement has left the building).

Trust me, been there, done that as the result of some very nasty after effect from a surgery.

I suppose that doing drugs could be the same kind of kind of experience (cannot say, I've never done drugs myself) but that would be in character for someone to be delusional enough to think that he is some kind of god.

My thoughts: I would probably do drugs with Jesus. Like.. either weed or more heavily psychedelic ones. But only if I met him first, and got good vibes from him. :)

And yeah... I don't feel guilty about occasionally using those substances for personal growth and spiritual experience. As it's been a very good thing in my life. :)

A person can battle recreational drug use and other sins using the rosary and fasting.

There are books claiming Jesus was on psychedelics. One I personally read was called the Sacred Mushroom and the Cross. It claimed Jesus was on psychedelics and so were the disciples. Followers were drugged and many of the so called miracles were hallucinations.

The whole world in which you are living is a world of darkness. darkness created this world. What you expect reality is different.

Scripture says God is love. Do you eat those whom you love? I am saying there is lord of darkness who runs this world. One who is baptized or born from holy spriit does not commit sin. What you are saying about Jesus is false.
