How long has "because: noun" been a thing?
I've recently noticed that lately I've been hearing folks on the television use a single noun (or a very short phrase used as a noun) to explain the alleged reason why something is. For instance: "Our cats drink out of a bubbler, because: posh." Or: "America is crumbling because: Trump." Or: "Humanity is doomed, because: climate change." [Note: The preceding examples do not reflect my sentiments or beliefs, they're just examples.]
Has anyone else noticed the preceding usage?
