Why would you do if you heard the sound of trumpets?

God is gathering people together before the end, that you mention - Matthew 24:14 - And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. - - - - As people are gathered, they are also taught to cultivate and display his (God's) attributes and qualities as the Scriptures highlight here - Galatians 5:22 & 23 - 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. - - - - And of course, as Jesus said, the greatest one is the quality of love. Jesus even saying that this quality would be what really identifies his true followers - John 13:35 - By this all will know that you are my disciples — if you have love among yourselves. - - - - And they would be completely united all over the globe in both their teachings and their conduct - 1 Corinthians 1:10 - Now I urge you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you should all speak in agreement and that there should be no divisions among you, but that you may be completely united in the same mind and in the same line of thought. - - - - And the extent of there love for others is also brought to the fore throughout the Holy Scriptures. Note 3 of these, identifying the kind of love God's people would be displaying, not only to each other but also to those that hate them - Proverbs 25:21 - If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; If he is thirsty, give him water to drink. - - - - Luke 6:27 - “But I say to you who are listening: Continue to love your enemies, to do good to those hating you. - - - - Romans 12:20 - But “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; - - - - So, where can you find this group of people, that are completely united all over the globe, displaying love even toward those that hate them? As the Scripture brought out above, they would be preaching the good news all over the globe. This preaching is being done right now in 240 lands around the globe. It is available online in over 900 languages! We must be getting close to the fulfillment of Jesus' words at the end of Matthew 24:14 (quoted above) where he said, "then the end will come". - - - - Therefore, I urge everyone to approach the Hearer of prayer - Psalm 65:2 - O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come. - - - - Ask him to put you in touch with those preaching the good news. I heard the sounds of trumpets on Monday night. The city orchestra gave a great performance.

The smartest thing to do is get right with Jesus, by accepting Him into your life as your Savior and Lord. When the "last trump" is given (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17), all believers in Jesus Christ will be taken up into Heaven. That is nothing to fear, but is of great joy.

I think trumpets can provide an uplifting sound and that they are nothing to be afraid of.

I think that anyone who creates or promotes stories of 'the end of times' is perverse and corrupt and evil. It is without evidence and was invented purely to frighten people. No loving, caring, responsible, moral person would do that.

It is always good when people show kindness and compassion towards each other but they should do it genuinely from feelings of humanity and not out of fear.

Fear of punishment has its place in society but only for those who lack the intelligence or morality to do the right thing of their own free will. When it is used to frighten people into conformity with, for example, religious dogma, then it is below contempt.
