All the trine means is that their Social Mask (Ascendant) is compatible with how they relate to people (Venus). This can often give the person a certain "ease" or "charm" in how they relate .. but the work is "CAN", because you have to look at the entire chart to see if other factors support or contradict this trine of Venus to the Ascendant.
No, it doesn't affect physical appearance. This is a common misunderstanding .. the Ascendant indicates the "appearance" of our social mask . .the mask we hide behind in social situations until we have become comfortable in that situation.
