Assuming they also changed your account information...you should let them know ASAP.

What does your bank card have to do with your employer?

If you have direct deposit, your account number will not change.

If the money is being deposited into a checking account, you only need to let the employer know if that account number was changed. Most debit cards have a totally different number on them.

I don't know what kind of bank account you have but my bank card has nothing to do with my checking account number and routing number. So I don't see why your bank card would effect anything. You need a bank account to have a bank card and your bank account is all that matters.

Yes they need those 2 numbers to bank your money.

    Make sure you activate it.
