Decorating trees is just one of dozens of pagan traditions to celebrate Yuletide or the Winter Solstice.

Most things that people do at Xmas has nothing to do with Christianity.

  • Not sure what you mean. But where did He say Don't kill trees !!!

There is no where in the Bible where Jesus said kill trees to celebrate my birthday. in fact and Jeremiah chapter 10 in the Old Testament it says don't you be like the pagans and cut down trees and bring them into your house and nail them to the floor and decorate them with gold and silver ornaments. Some people like to say oh that only applies to making a statue out of them! what the hell difference does it make if you bring the tree in whole the nail it to the floor or if you carve it into a statue and nail it to the floor. You still killed a tree to do it and that's the whole point.

The closest parallel I can think of is Jesus killing a fig tree. So, killing fir trees is only one letter off...

Mark 11: 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”

It's right next to the New Testament passage in which Jesus says:

"Do not kill trees to celebrate my birthday."

Nobody say that christians celebrate that way. It's just festive season

We are just reminded on Christmas day to remember Christ came into this world for our sakes, died for our sins, and we need to believe on Him and we can be save from hell and enter heaven by Him.

Nobody knows the exact date of Christ's birth.

"TREES" are metaphors for MEN in Scripture!

"... that they may be called TREES of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that HE might be glorified" (Isaiah 63:3).

"...I see people, but they look like TREES, walking” (Mark 8:24).

10 "Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a TREE out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

5 They are upright as the palm TREE, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good" (Jeremiah 10:1-5).

"The are upright as the palm TREE," they must needs be borne?" "Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good?"

What is this "decorated TREE" doing "needing to be borne?"

Did you read the entire Chapter of Jeremiah 10?

People have made "a god" (Jeremiah 10:10) as "a graven image" (Jeremiah 10:14) and are worshiping "A MAN" (aka "TREE") instead of "the TRUE and the LIVING GOD" (Jeremiah 10:10) in accordance with Jeremiah 10:3-4 like they've done the doctrine created by the RCC and other Vicegerents.

YOU PEOPLE HAVE NO >>>SPIRITUAL<<< INSIGHT!

YOU SOUND LIKE ATHEIST WHO BELIEVE "GOD WILL THROW YOUR CHILDREN AGAINST THE STONE."

    IGNORANT "BASTARDS" (HEBREWS 12:8)!

Many people have artificial trees, or even live trees which they plant in their yard following the holiday.

If you are interested in how modern Christmas came about, as well as many of the traditions, consider reading the Pulitzer-prize winning book "The Battle for Christmas" by Stephen Nissenbaum. I cannot guarantee you will enjoy the book, but I can guarantee you will be very surprised.

Where in the New Testament did He say that we couldn't?

Jesus also never told me to brush my teeth before bed either.
