How to get over a guy who rejected you?

So I was talking to this guy for about a month. We were texting every day in 20 to 30 min intervals and it seemed as if he was genuinely interested in me. We met up in person about four times and I noticed every time we met up we became more intimate with one another, physically and emotionally; we got close fast. I really really liked this guy, who seemed to have all the great qualities I was looking for in a boyfriend and it seemed as we were heading in that direction. However, on the fourth time we met up I noticed our chemistry was not as strong; I was not really myself that day due to a variety of reasons and, at times, failed to keep the conversation going. After we met up, I did not hear from him for a few days which was very concerning as we were previously texting on a day-to-day basis. So I reached out to him and he messaged me back saying its going to be a busy semester coming up for him so this would not work between us. As of now, I feel ashamed and pretty heart broken by this as he had almost all of the qualities I was looking for in a guy, looks and personality wise, and we had such a genuine connection. I can not help but blame myself for this. How can I move past this?
