help with my daughter in a mother and baby unit?

My daughter might be going in a mother and baby unit if decided by the court

As she will be assessed and if she passes she will be able to keep our granddaughter.

Does anyone know what will help her pass the assesment.

Update:

Our daughter desperately wants to keep her daughter she is

In foster care at the moment. At the child meeting she was told

That if she fails the assesment the baby will be adopted.w

The question you have to ask yourself is, is your daughter truly a fit parent? Would you hire her as a babysitter, and have no hesitation about leaving your child with her?

Maybe by not doing whatever she did to cause her child to be taken away in the first place?

If your daughter wants to keep her child but for whatever reason the law has decided she can't, why can't *you* apply to be the child's guardian? The state generally does not want to completely sever family ties, and if there is another family member willing to take the child in, then that is usually preferred over making the child available for adoption. The only way your granddaughter would be adopted out to strangers is if *all* of you are unfit to raise her, or you just don't want her.

If she has to ask, she doesn't have a chance. It isn't exactly rocket science to figure out how to keep your kid, especially when they're giving you A PRE-WARNED ASSESSMENT that spells out what's checked.
