No degree. Married right out of HS. Had kids, widowed, raised kids and got remarried. My proudest moments were watching 4 kids get their degrees and the 5 becoming a skilled technician. Me? I never made more than 60k, but a few years ago my job got absorbed into retail. A couple years ago, I was asked to work nights, holidays, and weekends. I took a good look at our finances and consider myself between jobs.
So, to be truly successful, get your degree in something you enjoy, stay focused, live under your means and do the best you can

I was not in debt when I finished in 2000. I stayed enrolled for another 3 years. I was not in debt.
I walked away from an MBA in health care administration and an MIS degree programs. I do NOT regret that. I learned a LOT.
My yearly income is NONE of YOUR business.
My estate will not be billed for the Snell loan I cannot repay. When you are dead you can't repay anything.
Whether your college degrees are useless or not depends entirely on YOU.

I have a doctorate degree from the University of Paris in Public Law with my specialty being human rights and international law. It took me four years of intense study to earn my doctorate. It was worth it because I now earn over $250,000.00 a year which when broken down to working 8 hours a day, excluding week-ends, to be $120.00 an hour. Get a master's and a doctorate degree and you'll be well paid by any place that hires you. The only reason I write on Yahoo Answers is to encourage others to get an education and better their lives.

I only have college. No masters, no majors, so no debt whatsoever.
However, over where I live is pointless to have any major degrees.
Work around here is based mostly on Hotel work.
