Probably not much, but it would move us towards the 21st century and keep us from falling even further behind other countries.

There's no such thing as a Green New Deal or the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus. What we have is a sick narcissist who wanted to get elected to high office, so she made up lies about what she claims she wants, while at the same time knowing that they are too far out and stupid to ever happen, so that people who are weaker and stupider than her would vote for her. And it worked, it got her elected.

Not even a fraction of the amount it would lower your quality of life. Hold on to your wallet.

There is no hope for a global reduction in the burning of fossil fuel unless the USA participates.
If there is a significant global reduction in the burning of fossil fuel, the worst-case scenarios of global warming will be avoided. The worst-case scenarios involve the death of most humans and the extinction of most species 300 to 500 years in the future.

The Green new deal is in its infancy, at the moment it's just a a list of proposals, the next stage is to do all the calculations and form a coherent strategy.
The only stipulation I have is that it must include nuclear energy.
That aside it would curb co2 and other polluting gases, we wouldn't need to worry about diminishing oil sources and it would create a ton of jobs, you'd have to be a maniac to say no.

Humans have no control over the Climate of the Earth. All monies spent on AGE is and has been squandered for nothing.
Fossil fuels will be around for many, many years to come.

Any reduction in the rate of warming is better than no reduction.
Eventually, the rate of fossil fuel consumption has to drop to zero, but it will be decades before the new energy sources are ready. Baby steps are the only way.
