Would reducing immigration reduce CO2 emissions that cause global warming?

If you believe people are causing catastrophic weather changes, immigration should automatically enters into your CO2 budget. But with a political party opposed to law and order, that flies in the face of what they claim to be all about.

Most of those countries have low standards of living, so your "solution" is keeping people in poverty to lower emissions, rather than deal with the actual problem. We can have a high standard of living and low emissions, which most science-denying conservatives fail to understand.

That may be the case or maybe they would slow the economies of those countries. They tend to take the low end jobs so it is likely the CO2 emissions would increase with increase of immigration to 1st world countries. It would be nice if we could export some free markets to those countries instead of importing more cheap labor from them which just hurts our lower income workers IMO. To be accurate, here in the US, we don't import many of them. They typically come here flagrantly breaking our immigration laws.
