Just curious whether smoking habit can be inherited from parents?

Genetics play a role in addictions, enviroment plays a role in kids choices and such. See/grow up around those that smoke and it can become the norm. Kids with parents that smoke are much more likely to do so.

My grandfather’s dad was a smoker (cigarettes). He then smoked a lot too. Guess that just means he was growing up around it, then he decided to smoke as well.

Yes it can be. My girlfriends parents both smoked and she started smoking at 15 years old.

No. Similar genes mean similar brain physiology which means similar behaviors, but smoking is learned, not intrinsic.

That is why Advertisement is forbidden on TV and radio.

Not inherited. You were breathing fumes all your life and it rubbed off on you.
