Social security card help?

I just turned 18 I live in California but I can’t get my social without a I’d and can’t get my id without a social my mom does not know my number is there anyway I can get it I got my birth certificate

    Your mother does know your SSN.

    She's lying to you.

    She has to put your SSN on her tax return to claim you as a dependent.

    Look at her old tax returns.

    YOu need to go on the SSA website and see what it takes to get a card, a school ID may work I think.

    Can you get your birth certificate from the department of vital statistics where you were born? Also any school you went to should have your ss #. I think with these things you should be able to get both. People lose these documents in fires all the time.. there has got to be a way.

    Your school might have it on file.

    It should also appear on your parents' tax return, if they are claiming you as a dependent.

    Take your birth certificate down to the Social Security office.
