I'm in Australia, so no, not really. The main reason I hang out here is to kind of point out things like that. Never seen a gun, or heard a gun fired. There was one mass shooting, twenty something years ago, and of course that guy who went to New Zealand, and they're changing their laws now, to stop selling machine guns to nutters.
